Saraia's Sleepover
Saraia had a great month of February and March, so Mommy decided to host a sleepover. 7 crazy girls had a fun-filled evening at the McGhee home. Games, movies, toys, and pizza kept the evening going long into the night. The event was a huge success!! Each child begged and pleaded with their parents to stay longer. As flattering as it was, Mommy was due for a some quite, a long nap, a HUGE thank you from Saraia, and a trophy for the best MOM on the planet!!!

Lansgton v. Breakfast
The kids love Saturday morning breakfast! Pancakes, eggs, sausage or bacon, sometimes grits, and OJ!! Daddy has a way with the skillet in the morning. Langston had a huge helping of pancakes, and even wanted seconds, but he couldn't finish it despite his best efforts!! Today breakfast defeated Langston with a KO in the final round! He was out cold!!!

He Can Pull Them Off and On!!
Langston is doing so well with the potty training that Mommy and Daddy are thinking of trying out some undies real soon. It is amazing how quickly they can grasp concepts if you really work with them. A child's mind is so amazing! If monitored, Langston can stay dry all day. Of course, he is not that great at night yet, but that will come with time. Congrats Langston and 'Hey Hey Hey... Goodbye' diapers!!!
Ski Cast
Mommy and Daddy did have a great time skiing, even though Daddy tried to push the envelope and ate it more times than he would like (the Winter Olympics must have got to him)!! Anyway, daddy was still feeling pain in his left thumb a week after the trip. After seeing a doctor and a specialist the prognosis is a sprained thumb ligament (its common among skiers and is actually called ski thumb). So the thumb must be kept still, because ligaments take a long time to heal (6+ weeks to be exact). This is a pain in the butt, but necessary because your thumb is pretty dang important!! So praise God for your thumbs and wish Daddy a full recovery!
Triple D #3
We had a great time as always in ATL. We love to visit Grandma, because it allows us the opportunity to do so many things that we don't get a chance to do in Jackson, TN. One treasure from the trip were the restaurants. Mommy and Daddy love food (no surprises there)!!! We love to eat it, and we even love to watch it being prepared. In most cases the TV usually finds itself on the FoodTV network, and most likely on the show Diners, Drive-ins. And Dives hosted by Guy Fieri. This show gets at Daddy's love for mom and pop spots, as it focuses on these treasured eateries throughout the country!! Mommy and Daddy have agreed to eat at one of the Triple D's when traveling. Just so happened that we had the chance to eat at two places: Silver Skillet (breakfast) and Marietta Diner (dinner). Food was great and puts us at 3 Triple D experiences, with more to come!!

ICE CREAM TREAT
Saraia has completed the memorization of 100 sight words!! She uses these common words to help her read books. This a great accomplishment in itself, but she also won the sight words challenge for her class!! She was the last one standing after a sight words tournament. Congrats to our brain child!!

Let's Get Ready to Rumble
To Mommy and Daddy's surprise, Langston got a little upset with Saraia and resorted to violence to solve his problems. Apparently he got so mad that he scratched the side of her face, just above the eye. This was not good, but we have to show how grown-up Saraia is. Although hurt physically and emotionally, after a hug and an 'I'm Sorry', she went back to being the great big sister she always is. Saraia great work turning the other cheek! A surprise is in store for her, but she just doesn't know it yet. Mister Langston received some serious reprimands and we will continue to monitor his behavior. Hopefully, this is the last we'll see of this nonsense for some time. They are great kids, but emotions can get the best of us sometimes.

Tootie or Rudy?
This is Saraia's first time really getting her hair done like a big girl. She was so excited and the final product looks like somebody I grew up with.

Fresh Cut
Langston let his locks grow over the winter to help him stay warm. He hasn't handled cold weather too well. But now with the weather creeping up to 70 degrees, Langston got a fresh cut and his first line. He's ready to sport it at school like a real mini player!

1st Basketball Workout
Lately, Daddy has been talking a lot to youth sports coaches. The one thing common about these chats is that kids are starting earlier with sports these days. So Daddy needs to catch up with Saraia and start with Langston. He took to basketball so well even Saraia said 'wow Langston is good'!! Daddy is ready to begin coaching the kids, hoping one day 60,000+ will watch them play.
