Saraia turns Six
Our little sweetie is growing up and we could not be more proud of her. For her big day, we took her to a water park. She is having a blast!

Sunday Afternoon
The weather here is so much calmer in the summer than in Tennessee. One of our new favorite things is to relax in the park on a Sunday afternoon. After enjoying an after church snack/lunch of sushi and coca-cola (Langston's favorite). We all sat, talked, and enjoyed the 70-ish degree weather. This park is awesome. The entrance of park is on a large hill, where a fantastic stone courtyard resides that looks out over the entire park. It feels as if we are a royal family in our castle overlooking our kingdom. This town has more parks than a nightclub valet and we love to enjoy them before old man winter comes!
As you can see Langston didn't last very long. The cool breeze and early morning service made way to an early nap, dispite all the fun that was around! We'll have to go back again, when he is fully rested, if we can ever find it again?! LOL.

Funny Faux Pas
Daddy goes to the store and decides to bring back a whoopie cushion of all things. The kids are laughing their tales off at this timeless comedic prank. There are usually two adults and two kids in this house, but I think tonite there are three kids in the family!!
Here is Langston intentionally falling for this prank just to here hear the sound.

Saraia's First Day at College Hill Elem
Saraia was so excited about school until she got there. The thought of all the new kids and the new school and the new city just got the best of her. As soon as we got out of the car, she had a look like she saw a ghost. It was sad, but funny at the same time. The child that has managed to be the life of the party at every school she has attended, always wants to be the center of attention, never fails to volunteer, and knows no strangers has finally got a taste of shyness. She went in and didn't say anything.
When Mommy and Daddy were leaving, she looked at us like we left her in a haunted house. All went well and she seems to be making friends! We are all hoping for a great school year!!

8/23 will start a new chapter for the McGhee family. A lot of work has gone into the past 8 years and the fruits are upon us. This will be a busy time, filled with excitement, worries, fatigue, anger, enjoyment, and love. We welcome all of this, because we truly know how blessed our family is. Each day is better than the last and our future promises more blessings! We can't wait until you all come to visit!!

Saraia shines!
We really are enjoying our new church home, Crossroads. Today, Saraia played the King for her Sunday school class. She volunteered to help as they acted out the story of David and The Lion's Den. Her teachers said she did a great job. We are truly blessed that we found a church that we all enjoy.

10:00 - feed the ducks
11:00 - lunch at home
13:00 - catching butterflies in the park
15:00 - water playground
18:00 - nap at home
20:00 - pizza in town square

Hanging out at the park
It is a nice breeze on this hot day, so we decide to go to the park at the elementary school, up the street. I am glad that the schools let you enjoy their parks, with basketball courts as well.

Saraia is an Artist by nature
She loves to create things. We have plenty of boxes in our new temporary home and Saraia loves to make something out of them. She hasn't figured out exactly what this will be, but Mommy has to help and brother has to to his best not to destroy it!

Lunch at our new home
Saraia is enjoying lunch at our place by the window. The kids enjoy eating on a blanket like a picnic.
